Free Online Community Mapping Tool for Public Health & NGOs
ITKB Community Mapping is a digital mapping system designed specifically for healthcare professionals, volunteers, and NGOs. Transition from traditional paper maps to pinning coordinates on the open-source global map (OSM) to effortlessly design community layouts, record addresses, and screen vulnerable demographics like bedridden patients and the elderly with high precision.
🛡️ Secure Offline-First Design
All data, including household member lists, chronic diseases, and pinned coordinates, is processed directly inside your local web browser storage (LocalStorage). There is no server upload, ensuring the highest standards of data privacy.
📊 Epidemiological Diagnostics
The Point-in-Polygon (PIP) engine automatically calculates and summarizes demographics, high-risk cohorts, and top chronic diseases located within the community boundaries you draw.
📥 Export to Excel & PDF
Print instant summary reports as formatted PDF files for filing, or download raw datasets as Excel (CSV) files to further analyze in other software tools.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Where are the coordinates and resident list saved? Is it secure?
It is 100% secure. ITKB's community mapping tool operates on a secure Offline-First (Local Storage) architecture. Pinned coordinates and personal records you enter are stored strictly inside your browser's local memory on your computer or mobile phone. No data is ever transmitted back to a central server.
Q: Will I lose my data if I change computers or clear my browser history?
Yes, there is a chance of data loss because everything is saved on your specific device. Therefore, we highly recommend regularly clicking "Save as JSON (Backup)" under the Save menu to download a local backup file. If you switch devices, simply click "Import JSON" and select that file to restore your map instantly.
Q: How many photos can I attach to a location, and are there any size limits?
You can attach photos for both locations and household members. The system automatically compresses these images into highly optimized thumbnail formats to prevent your browser's LocalStorage from filling up too quickly (which typically has a 5MB threshold). The photos will have adequate resolution to serve as reliable visual reference points.
